Comments from other girls (not our class)

I invited those whom I'm linked up via Facebook to view this blog as I wanted to keep it among RGS girls.

This is from Ma Sau Lan (she's known as May Rowland now - married to ang moh and now residing in US - believed she was from 4/1? Tall lean girl).

"That's such a nice gathering! All of you look fantastic!! I'm so jealous...wish I'm in Singapore....! May"

Left to right - Kit Mun, Sor Har, Sugi, Mui Choo, JoAnne, Mui Cheng, Jayanthi , Sou Mei & Chuey Kheng.

We had so much fun trying to identify who is who and our dear Mui Choo top the chart by actually bring the name list from my email! Ha! Most of us still look the same... except maybe with a little bit more flesh! Ha!

Yes, though it is 29 years later, we are still the same rowdy girls making alot (& trust me - ALOT) of noise. I think we are easily the noisest bunch this evening.

For those overseas - Sabita, Kheng Pui, Catherine & Veni - we hope to see you some day.

We also remembered with sadness our dear Indira & Kintan who had passed away.

As we updated one another, it is interesting to know how we have experienced many different facets of life. Amongst us are doctors, dentists, lawyers, accountants, bankers, trainer, dealers, tai tais, child care teacher, missionaries & IT specialists etc. Some of us even have 4 kids (how did you do it - Sor Har & Siew Lan???) and some of us have no kids. Well, the oldest kid among us belongs to Jayanthi (fondly know as POP) whose son is now 21 years old! There are singles among us, divorcees, marathoners (amazing right? :>), volunteers with charitable organisations and some of us mothers have children who have "chronic" illnesses that could be potentially life threatening. And yours truly even had a stillborn full term baby.

Despite the ups & downs, as I sat down and looked at the individual girls, I am thankful that we are not a bunch of quitters. Even though difficulties confronted us and as one of the girl said "the last few years had been so difficult", I believed all of us have the tenacity to move on.

I feel so blessed and privileged to have classmates like these who have made my secondary life the best years of my school going life. So, as far as I am concerned, Sec 4/7 1980 rocks! :)

For those who can't make it, I hope to see you in the Aug 15 gathering in RGS. 15 of us will be going. Yes!

yr ex monitress :)
